About the event
Join Colleen Kimberly Broersma in a series of (healing)workshops; Medicine for the Soul.
In each workshop we will intend to honor our own souls nourishment/enrichment by placing that which is most sacred first, our own health and well-being.
Each workshop is intuitively created to help us create a homeostasis mind, body, soul.
In the first of this series, The Great Pause,
we are asked to slow down, soften, and surrender.
We are asked to nourish ourselves from deep within our own reservoir of inner knowing to bring us back to our center, back to our truth.
When we can take a moment to pause, reset, and go within we can start to peel back the layers of resistance, anxiety, and stress.
We can gain clarity to help move us towards balance and harmony.
We shall start our time together drinking and connecting to the sacred plant spirit cacao. During this time we shall set intentions and come into a space of calmness, peeling back the first of many layers.
We shall pause, drop into our bodies, leaving the mind to settle into the now moment.
After connecting to the medicine of Grandmother Cacao we shall continue our journey of deep nourishment with restorative yoga.
Restorative yoga is an incredible way of helping to heal the whole body and mind. We activate the para-sympathetic, or relaxation response, helping to balance the entire nervous system, setting up the whole body for deep healing, growth, and repair.
Expect lots of props, long holds and deep relaxation.
Feel free to bring a warm fuzzy blanket and an eye pillow for the restorative part.
